I've just seen Bewitched! It was actually a very good movie. I thought they did justice to the tv show - without going over the top and ruining it (like so many before it - and like the Dukes of Hazard is bound to). Note to self : Get Bewitched Soundtrack. Nicole Kidman has officially made me want to be able to wiggle my nose. I tried it on the way home - it wasn't working. I guess I'll just have to practice!
Yesterday, we went down to the lake - and even though it says on this huge sign "Danger - bacteria not monitored - not safe for bathing" - we all went swimming! Phyllis' shirt became see-through whilst in the lake. It was quite amusing really. Luckily for her - I managed to get deeper - and slip my bra off (I was wearing it underneath my swim suit) to share with her. I was quite the superhero.
There was a huge thunderstorm that kind of drove us away from the water. But the rain that came down was gorgeous. If I wasn't so scared of large forks of lightning shooting out of the sky - I would of ran down the street singing in the rain. Buckets and buckets of warm rain were pouring down for about 20 minutes. It was really quite lovely!
There are lots of bugs outside today. It was like an infestation at the theatre. We came outside and the cars under the lights were covered. It was disgusting. And all in front of the door - swarms of them everywhere. And to top it off a giant spider near the doorhandle. Lovely. Summer's here!! Another way to tell - I've got a sunburn (despite my preventative measures of SPF 60) and mosquito bites everywhere.
On tele right now is a whole bunch of people having sex. It's the weirdest show I've ever seen. They keep showing the audience laughing at these scenes of hardcore sex. It's like porn awards. They're accepting awards for "Best Musical". And the winner is "The Naughty Garden".
Right when we got home from Bewitched we turned on the tv to find the saddest special. It was called "The boy whose skin fell off" and it starts out "My name's Jonny Kennedy, and that's me in the box" as a coffin is being brought through the churchyard. It's a reality tv glimpse into this poor suffering British man's life. He was 37 at the time of the documentary - and yet because of EB (his disease) he never passed puberty. He looks about 10 at the most. He has hoof like arms and legs, and his whole body is covered in sores. His condition, so bad, that even the slightest touch leads to blistering so bad that if his bandage were to come off when he was sleeping - he would stick to the pillow. His skin comes off constantly and weekly he has to have painful bandages removed from his whole body. He knew he was dying and he wanted this documentary to be filmed before his death to be used as an awareness vehicle to raise money to fight EB. It kind of made me feel ill inside. Here I am - complaining about a sunburn I got while enjoying a lovely day at the lake yesterday - and here's him wrapped his whole life in dressings, experiencing agony every single time he stands from sitting - or wakes up in the morning. The site below is a way to donate to the cause. I recommend taking a look.

Well that's a sad note to end on - put something to think about. Nomatter how bad you may think your life is - nomatter how hard - there's always someone out there who's worse off then you, still managing to keep a smile on their face.
